We have many stories from CQC-14 owners about their encounters with law enforcement, all with good outcomes. Because of its success I'm thinking of making a small run of 14's with various blade shapes. I made three sets of prototypes up for Christmas specials. Here they are! These are hand ground, zero grind chisel blades by me. These are the very first, marked prototypes, and they are very freakin cool knives. I made 3 different models - The CQC-7 Snubbie, The Bull Nose, and The Sub-Commander. These are true hand ground onesies and you can use them or put them into your collection, they're perfect in either case.

The Bull Nose. Whether you cut or jab, it's legal to carry (most places). The bullnose does not need any explaining, just look at it and the name says it all.

Just in time for you early Christmas Shoppers. Sure I know it’s early, but at the pace we run here at Emerson Knives, Christmas is as close as two ticks to midnight. I will not be able to put anything up when it gets too near to Christmas because we will be gearing up for The SHOT Show, the Apparel Shows and the NAMM Shows which all fall right after the new year. Anyway, these blades are hand ground and fitted by me and are really quite nice. I only have 5 available so get one while you can. Mary really wants to keep one so there may only end up being 4. We’ll see.

These knives feature Silver Woven G-10 Handles and blades that are Satin bead blasted on the flats with a Satin Finish Zero Grind all hand ground by me.

(2008)Titanium Handled HD-12 "Comrade" (SOLD OUT)

Here is a rare one. An all titanium handled CQC-12 Comrade. This is a version of what is my most favorite knife. I've carried an all titanium handled one for years. I'm making 10 altogether but this is the only one that has the "pretty" handles. all the others will be hard-use bead blasted. This knife is very nice. You'll like it.

(2008)New "Vintage" Commander (SOLD OUT)

For those of you who love the "98" Commanders, I have something very special for you.

This is the 10th year anniversary of the Commander winning the Knife of the Year at the 1998 BLADE Show. So, we are reissuing a vintage, retro version of the original Commander model. The knife features double .062 thick titanium liners. The handles are .125 thick, with original screw placement and radiused (not chamfered) edges. The blade has the distinctive Commander swedges on the top of the blade. The only difference is that I have left the swedges exposed (natural steel finish) so that no one would potentially confuse them with an actual 1998 Commander. These have the look, the feel and the heft of the original Commanders and is one helluva knife. These are an extremely limited run, so place your order immediately as these are absolutely sure to go fast.

(2008)New Vintage "Satin Finish" Commander

Here is a rare opportunity to own a very special knife. It is perhaps the "Rarest of the Rare" Commanders; The true Satin Finish Blade with .062 Thick Titanium Liners, and .125 thick g-10 Handles. The knife features the original screw placement and the radiused (not chamfered) handles. This is the Commander you've been searching for and is the grand version of a true retro Commander from the "old days". I have a very small run of these and they are very nice. The Super CQC-8

Here is the most requested knife we’ve had in a long time, the Super 8. This will be featured as one of the new additions to our factory line for 2009. I’ve always thought the CQC-8 was quite a knife, but the Super 8 is a knife and a half. It is one hell of a folder and it’ll do everything you ask and more – much more. These are handground, handmade prototypes.

Super Ravens

I really like these. These Super Ravens are a design I’ve been playing with well, for 12 years now. I’ve never been able to put it down. So I decided to make it bigger, and viola, the Super Raven. Check out the “hidden wave” feature. These are the biggest Ravens ever, the first waved Ravens, and they are handmade, handground prototypes.

I’ve got two spearpoint A blades and two B models featuring zero chisel ground blades. I’m thinking about doing a small limited run of these (not for the catalog), but the prototypes will only be made once. Here they are.

These are a very rare breed indeed. I have 5, and 5 only, of these titanium frame lock Karambits. I made a handfull of these about 5 years ago and they were highly sought then. These are full custom knives with handground handles of solid .125 thick 6AL4V Titanium and hand ground blades by me. The blades feature stone washed flats with true satin Zero Ground blades that are razor sharp. The handles are bead blasted grey. The price for these custom creations is $750.00

This is one of the most requested knives that we've ever made. I have built a small run of the framelock all titanium handled versions. If you want one we've got some. These have bead blasted handles. With the classic CQC-7 blade, these are, without a doubt, some of the hardest use, heavy duty knives I've ever made. Here's another one for you Karambit aficionados. This knife features a Devon Thomas High Contrast Damascus Blade, hand ground by Me - Ernest Emerson. It has lovely green anodized liners that contrast brightly against the black G-10 handles. This is a unique one of a kind karambit. I know I've made a couple of other damascus karambits but it's been fewer than a couple or so. This is a very striking and dramatic knife. I hope you enjoy it.

Tactical Persian Folder

This is a knife of firsts. The first persian style folder from Emerson, the longest folding knife we've ever done, the first knife from the ECA platform and the first ECA official "Knife of the Year". It is the first of a series that will feature an official ECA knife of the year logo that will be issued once a year only to collectors and enthusiasts who are members of the Emerson Collectors Association.

On top of all that, it really is a pretty cool knife. The first time you pick it up, you'll absolutely love how it feels in your hand. The blade is clean and wicked, hair splitting sharp and is actually a fearsome weapon if it ever came down to that.

The knife is marked with the ECA logo, year, and serial number. This is a limited edition knife and you must be an Emerson Collector's Association member in order to own one of these knives.

These special edition versions of the Tactical Persian Folder will be unique and have features that will not be found on any of the factory versions.

These knives will feature a full zero edge chisel grind and a premium grade satin finish. They have titanium liners with Black G-10 handles and the blades are hand ground.
