SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING NEW KNIFE MODELS

Dear ECA Members,

Thank you so very much for your unbridled enthusiasm for the Emerson Prototypes from the SHOT Show. The response was, to say the least, overwhelming. They went up in the morning and were all gone in a couple of hours. I usually sell all the prototypes at the SHOT Show but I decided to bring some back for you to have a chance at. I guess that was a good idea. I also usually build some new designs (prototypes) for each BLADE Show. Perhaps I should bring some back from there so we can do this again after Blade. I'll also bring some back from next years SHOT Show so we could do that again too. What do you think?

Anyway, I wanted to remind you to get your requests in for the low serial numbers on the following models along with your request for a "special" serial number. Remember, if I have 10 guys requesting "007" then the first one in gets the number.

We've already started getting requests in from members so please don't delay. The first runs for all knives will be in the satin stonewash finish.

Get your requests in for the following knives:

1. Traveler
2. Endeavor
3. Reliant
4. Gentleman Jim
5. UBR Commander

They are still at least 12 weeks away from completion but don't delay to get these low numbered "first edition" knives.

Send your request to: eca@emersonknives.com

Please don't send questions, just your request for whatever model and whatever serial number. We'll put you in the file and email you back when they are ready.

My Best Regards,

Ernest R. Emerson

Emerson SHOT Show Prototypes
ALL SOLD OUT!

I built and ground all the prototypes for this year’s SHOT Show as I always do.  And by the way, it was the biggest and most successful show this company has ever had.  We are very lucky and fortunate to be in the position we are in.

I always build a bunch of different prototypes for the SHOT Show.  Some are the new “catalog” models and some are test knives to see the reaction they get from the public.  Some are prototypes for collaborative projects or licensing models for special projects with other companies.

This year’s batch is all of the above.  I kept a dozen or so prototypes this year to make a special offer to members.  These are the “new” models from this year’s show and I wanted you to have a chance at getting some.

These are handmade, hand ground blades mounted in hand ground liners and handles personally built by myself.  They are actually custom knives by anyone’s definition.  No drill plates or jigs were used to make the liners or handles because they don’t exist yet.  The production versions of this knife are still 3-4 months away.

So here they are.  This is a chance to own some actual Emerson history as, once a few prototypes are made, there can never be anymore prototypes.

All the prototypes are $600.00 each with the exception of the UBR Commanders and the Big Combat Bowie which are $800.00.  This is a chance to own an Ernest Emerson handmade custom without having to go to a show and take your chances in the lottery.

Don’t miss the opportunity.

CQC-22

This is the brand new knife we are doing with Spike's Tactical and the AR-22 calibre rifle that they are building. It's a great design, a great knife in the hand and it will only be available along with the serialized, matched rifle set, except for these, the handmade prototype originals. Both Kane and Spike have the other two. This is the only chance you'll get to buy one of these knives by itself, and it's a handmade proto to boot.

$600.00 - SOLD

Big Combat Bowie

I actually pulled this knife out of the safe. I debuted it at last years BLADE Show in Atlanta. I sold one or two and kept this one because I was deciding what to do with the design. I'll give you a hint. you will be seeing more of this knife in the future. I put this one up because it's a prototype and it fits in with all the others. This is a massive knife. It has the "hidden wave" feature. This is a very special knife.

$800.00 - SOLD

UBR Commander

Beware all Commander lovers. You thought you had a Commander? Now this is a Commander. It is the largest Commander ever built and the largest folding knife ever built by Emerson Knives. I can't even fit the knife in our knife box. I wasn't too sure about this knife when it was suggested to me. But guess what, it was one of the hits of the show. I built the knife for some special end users per their request and had no idea the general public would be interested. In fact, there was so much interest that I'm going to be doing a small production run later this year. You can have one of the original prototypes. And I will say this, it's suffice to say, the others that were delivered to the end users will never see the light of day.

$800.00 - SOLD

Traveler

The traveler is a perfect size for a casual night on the town and is the new "waved" version of the Hard Wear series. It is both practical and tactical depending on where you are and what you're using it for. It has a great feel and is a great design for its size.

$600.00 - SOLD

Reliant

Here is a very cool, utility version of the now famous tanto design. But unlike other Emerson Tantos (CQC-7 etc.) this one is V ground and not a chisel grind. If you ever wanted an Emerson tanto but not the chisel ground variety, this one is the knife for you.

$600.00 - SOLD

Endeavor

Some people love the clipped spear point blade style over all others and there's good reason for it. In my opinion, it is one of the most user friendly blade styles that exist. And this knife, the Endeavor, is one of the most user friendly knives that I've designed and built. It's double V-ground and it's an Emerson handmade to boot. You'll love this one.

$600.00 - SOLD
