Have we forgotten to,”Never Forget?”
For many of us the wounds of the deadly attacks of 09-11-2001 are as fresh as if it happened only yesterday. But for many, that is not the case and that in my opinion is a tragedy in and of itself.
The collective knowledge of our history is the Legacy that binds our culture together and gives us our national identity. So what has this to do with my opening statement?
When I was in school - every student had a class called history and every single one of us knew about another attack on America called Pearl Harbor. We learned that it was one of the triggering events that drew the United States into World War II and we all knew who attacked us.
But now, in regard to the 9/11 attacks on American soil, there has been a concerted and calculated effort to make us collectively “forget” the worst attack that has ever taken place on our homeland, and I blame our schools, the treasonous media, and the spineless politicians who are all complicit in making that take place.
Many of today's students do not even know that there was an attack against America on 9-11-2001. And in classrooms where it is mentioned, it is only a small footnote with no reference to who was responsible for it. At times, when it is discussed, it is implied that “we had it coming.” So much for history in our school classrooms.
And in the media, which has done its best to sweep it under the rug, there has been a concerted effort to place the blame on ourselves through a propagation of self-hate, blame, and guilt. In a twisted attempt not only to make us blame ourselves, but also they've also attempted to justify the evil deed perpetrated on over 3,000 innocent Americans while simultaneously removing culpability from those who planned and executed that dastardly attack.
Now as to our current crop of politicians, I won't even go there except to say these words: spineless, cowardly, self-serving, soulless, and traitorous. You can fill in the name of your choice.
It was not “Some guys in a plane.” It was a murderous, cowardly plot carried out by radical islamists bent on the destruction of our way of life
I will not forget - my family will not forget, and you who are reading this will never forget. I call on all of you to fight with all of your might the forces that are now working every minute of every single day to make us forget - Never Forget.
