Liberty & Freedom Series – Limited Production Structure
Each knife in the wood handle Liberty & Freedom Series is produced in a strictly limited run of 50 pieces per model, built with the same iconic American hardwood handles that define this collection.
Within each 50-piece run, the first 10 knives (Serial Numbers 001–010) are not production pieces—they are handmade Super Customs, individually built by Ernest Emerson. These represent the highest level of craftsmanship in the series.
The remaining 40 wood handle knives (Serial Numbers 011–050) are production versions, built to the same design and specifications, carrying forward the character of the originals in a more accessible format.
From those 10 Super Customs, the first three serial numbers—001, 002, and 003—are never sold individually. Instead, they are reserved as matched serialized sets across all five models, creating an extremely rare collector offering.
This means that for individual collectors, only Serial Numbers 004 through 010 from each model will be available for purchase as standalone Super Custom knives.
In addition to the wood handle knives, each model was also made in a version with G-10 handles featuring a flag engraving.
KNIFE #1 Launching MAY 13th 2026
All American (Oak Handle)
The Emerson All American is a tribute to the enduring spirit of the United States, crafted with handles of American oak—a wood long revered as a symbol of strength, endurance, and permanence. For centuries, oak has been one of the most important hardwoods in American history. It built the ships that crossed the Atlantic, framed the homes of early settlers, and served as the backbone of tools, wagons, and furniture that helped shape the young nation. Known for its durability and resilience, oak embodies the same steadfast character that defined the American pioneers who pushed westward and forged a new life through determination and hard work.
Oak has long stood as a symbol of stability, courage, and heritage, echoing the principles upon which this nation was founded. The sleek, sturdy oak handle of the All American pays homage to the generations of Americans who built this country with their hands and their resolve. When you hold the All American, you feel more than a finely crafted knife—you feel a connection to that legacy of perseverance and strength that runs through the story of America itself.
Made 100% in America, the All American is part of the American Freedom Series from Emerson Knives. This blade is not just a tool, but a statement—a celebration of the triumphs, struggles, and enduring ideals that have shaped our nation. Whether carried for everyday use or preserved as a collector’s piece, the All American stands as a reminder that America’s true strength lies in its people, its craftsmanship, and its unwavering commitment to freedom. As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence, this knife represents a piece of that living history—an embodiment of the spirit that continues to define the soul of America.

Liberty (Chestnut Handle)
The Liberty stands as a bold tribute to the ideals of freedom and justice that define America. Its chestnut wood handle, known for its durability and rich character, speaks to the strength and resilience of the American people. Chestnut, once abundant in American forests, was the backbone of early America. Chestnut trees flourished across Eastern North American and was the foremost lumber used for barns and homes in colonial America. It is a wood that has endured the tests of time and hardship — much like the spirit of liberty itself. The American chestnut tree once so abundant was driven to functional extinction by the Chinese Chestnut Blight in the early 1900’s and chestnut trees which once stood 100 feet tall and numbered in the billions, no longer grow in our forests. All American chestnut wood is now only available as reclaimed lumber from those early pioneer barns and houses. The Liberty is a knife that honors the principles of freedom, equality, and democracy that are at the heart of this nation.
With its handcrafted chestnut handle and razor-sharp blade, the Liberty from Emerson Knives is not just a piece of fine craftsmanship, but a statement of pride and patriotism. As part of the American Freedom Series, it represents the continued pursuit of liberty and the unwavering belief in the power of the people. This knife is a reminder that the quest for freedom is not just a part of our past, but something that endures and evolves — a legacy to be celebrated during the 250th anniversary of American independence.

KNIFE #4 COMING SOON
Patriot (Hickory Handle)
The Patriot is the embodiment of strength, loyalty, and American pride. With its rugged American hickory handle, this knife reflects the toughness and resilience that have defined the nation since its founding. Hickory is one of the strongest native American hardwoods, prized for its incredible shock resistance and durability. Since colonial times it has been the traditional choice for hammer and axe handles, tools that quite literally helped build the country. Its strength and flexibility later made it the preferred wood for baseball bats, tying it forever to America’s national pastime and the hardworking spirit of the American people.
Hickory has long been associated with endurance, grit, and the frontier character of early America. Even President Andrew Jackson carried the nickname “Old Hickory,” a testament to his toughness and the unyielding resolve that came to symbolize the young republic. The Patriot knife carries that same spirit forward. Its hickory handle represents the steadfast character of the American people and stands as a tribute to those who have fought and sacrificed to preserve the freedoms we hold dear—from the founding generation to the countless men and women who continue to defend liberty today.
Crafted 100% in America by Emerson Knives, the Patriot is more than a tool—it is a connection to the legacy of those who stood for freedom when it mattered most. As part of the American Freedom Series, this knife is designed not only for utility but also as a piece of living history honoring the courage, sacrifice, and determination that built this nation. With its bold hickory handle and unmistakable American craftsmanship, the Patriot stands as a fitting tribute to the enduring strength of the American spirit.
KNIFE #5 COMING SOON
The Lexington Bowie (Walnut Handles)
The Emerson Lexington Bowie stands as a tribute to the birth of American liberty and the men who first stood their ground in its defense. Part of the Emerson Liberty & Freedom Series, the Lexington is built to honor the spirit of April 19, 1775, when ordinary citizens became warriors in defense of their freedom. The knife is fitted with handles crafted from American walnut, one of the nation’s most revered hardwoods, long associated with heritage, craftsmanship, and the tools of those who defended the country.
American black walnut has been prized for generations as the premium hardwood used in some of the most iconic American firearms, including the M-1 Garand, the M-14, and the legendary 1911 pistol. Its rich color and enduring strength have made it the wood of choice for rifle stocks carried by soldiers and patriots throughout American history. Because of this legacy, walnut has come to symbolize both American craftsmanship and the enduring resolve of those who have stood in defense of the nation.
The Lexington Bowie embodies that same spirit of quiet determination that defined the Minutemen on Lexington Green—men who answered the call to stand for liberty when the fate of a young nation was still uncertain. Built by hand, grounded in tradition, and dedicated to the timeless ideals of liberty, courage, and the defense of freedom, the Lexington Bowie carries forward that legacy in steel and wood. It is more than a knife; it is a tribute to the moment when history turned and a free people chose to stand their ground.
READ MORE ABOUT THE LIBERTY AND FREEDOM COLLECTION
The Liberty and Freedom Collection from Emerson Knives stands as a tribute to the spirit that forged the United States of America. Created in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary, this series reflects the principles that built the country—courage, independence, sacrifice, and an unbreakable commitment to liberty. Each knife in the collection is more than a tool; it is a symbol of the American character, crafted to commemorate the men and women who stood for freedom when the future of the nation hung in the balance.
Five knives make up the collection, each featuring an iconic American hardwood chosen for both its historical significance and its connection to the land that shaped the American story. The All American Knife carries strong American oak handles, a wood long associated with strength, endurance, and the foundations of early American life. The Patriot Knife is fitted with rugged hickory handles, prized since colonial times for its incredible toughness and resilience and long used for tool handles that helped build the nation. The 1776 Knife features striking tiger maple, recalling the beautiful curly maple rifle stocks carried by early American marksmen during the Revolutionary War.
Completing the collection are two knives rooted deeply in the birth of American independence. The Liberty Knife, with handles of historic American chestnut, honors a tree that once dominated the eastern forests of the young nation and symbolized endurance and renewal. The Lexington Bowie, fitted with rich American walnut handles, pays homage to the first shots of the Revolution at Lexington and Concord—where ordinary men stood as Minutemen and defended the idea that a free people should govern themselves.
Every knife in the Liberty and Freedom Collection is 100% made in America by Emerson Knives—America’s Knife Company. The project carries a personal significance as well: the Emerson family legacy traces back to Minutemen who stood against British forces at the Battle of Lexington and Concord in 1775. In that sense, this collection is not merely a celebration of history—it is a continuation of it. Built by American hands from American materials, these knives honor the enduring truth that liberty is preserved by those willing to stand for it.
The collection features five knives, each built with iconic American hardwoods tied directly to our history.
American oak represents strength and endurance.
Hickory stands for toughness and resilience.
Tiger maple echoes the rifles carried by Revolutionary War marksmen.
American chestnut honors a lost symbol of renewal.
And walnut pays tribute to Lexington and Concord—where the fight for freedom began.
There will be a limited number of the Custom version knives, a wood handle production version and a black G-10 handle production version of each model available.
