An important part of knowing the anatomy of an Emerson Knife is knowing how to utilize it. Using the  patented Emerson Wave Feature correctly, you can deploy the knife out of pocket rapidly. It takes some practice to master. See how it's done in the video above.

First Emerson

This is the first Emerson knife I’ve owned. So far it is the best knife I’ve ever had.

I have 8 different Emerson knives and I love every one of them for different reasons. This one has the smoothest flip I have ever seen.

Awesome knife! The smooth action, strong lock up, and size are the reasons it has replaced my other pocket knives. It feels great no mater what I am wearing (shorts, jeans, dress slacks) and the first thing that goes into my pocket every morning.

Pro: The perfect EDC. Small enough to be discrete, big enough to do the job. Action smooth, blade very sharp, lock solid.
Con: The perfect EDC. So how do I convince my wife I need another knife?

My new favorite EDC. Holy smokes, this is a beauty. I received the Sheepdog (stonewashed blade, bowie style) from my girlfriend this Christmas. It's my third Emerson alongside the CQC-15 and Roadhouse, and it's head and shoulders above even those premium offerings. The action is butter smooth, the blade locks solidly upon deployment, almost zero blade play when opened, the handle is ergo and grippy, and there's a suitable edge on it right out of the box. With so many ways to deploy this knife, it's probably one of the finer close-quarters "duty" knives I've ever seen. As an added bonus (at least for me), the flipper acts as an extra bit of finger protection. I use the icepick grip in certain circumstances and the flipper rests nicely on my pinky finger.
I own many other premium knives, from Benchmade to ZT to MicroTech, each one is great. But it's Emerson who packs that "oh WOW!" right out of the box, every time. 10/10.

Got a mini sheepdog for a father's day present to myself. I love the ability to of the flipper. Very small and fast. The lock up is the strongest lock up I've ever had in a knife. I love it.
