The Emerson XHD Karambit. XHD stands for Extra Heavy Duty. The XHD Karambit is the most extreme heavy duty Karambit ever developed. Brought to you by the man who introduced the first modern folding Karambit, Ernest Emerson has just pushed the evolution of this ancient weapon to a new height. In fact he knocked it out of the park.

In his words, “The XHD Karambit now represents the ultimate evolution of this simple, effective weapon. It’s stronger, faster and more efficient than any folding Karambit in history. I’m very proud of that.”

The Emerson XHD Karambit has a set of features never before found together in any Karambit design.

The knife features two thick slabs of titanium covered in rugged, combat grade, G-10 slabs that are virtually slip proof in the most extreme environments. The lock features a replaceable steel insert for long wear and can be replaced at any time over the lifespan of the knife.

This heavy duty handle features a full size titanium backspacer, grooved for traction and gives extreme rigidity and strength to the already rugged frame.

This handle houses a 5/32” thick blade of S35VN that is razor sharp and V-ground with a reinforced combat point.

The blade glides effortlessly on a GTC bearing system and is the first ever Karambit design to incorporate the “triple play” opening feature. The knife can be opened conventionally with your thumb, by using the Patented “Emerson Wave feature” or the super slick “flipper” opening method.

Ernest Emerson sums it up like this, “Take my word for it, this knife sets a new standard for the next generation of Karambit evolution, and you’ll agree there’s never been any Karambit like this one before.”

Just got my first Emerson for Christmas, a Super Karambit.

Looks like my second Emerson will also be my second Karambit…maybe an XHD Super Karambit will be my third.
